David experiences the goodness of God when he's delivered from the hands of the Philistines in 1 Samuel 21. This encounter inspires the man after God's heart to pen Psalm 34 and recount God's saving power and purposes. Perhaps you need reminding today: no matter how bleak or uncertain your surroundings or situations, you have been offered salvation through Jesus Christ. And if you have obeyed this gospel, you always have reason to rejoice in God's salvation!
